A farm sim game inspired by the classics

Coral Island is a premium simulation title for PC by developer Stairway Games. It is a farming simulator game wherein players will build and grow a vibrant and sprawling farm on a small island. They will also be able to connect with the native residents and personalities.

Similar to Stardew Valley or One Lonely Outpost, Coral Island lets players assume the role of the new resident in town looking to have a fresh start for themselves and build their dream farm. They will also have the chance to fix up a coral reef to revitalize the island's life and economy.

Go on an adventure and meet new faces

In Coral Island, you leave your hometown of Pokyo behind to move to said island with dreams of owning a farm. Here, you can turn rundown land into a lush and vibrant place filled with a variety of crops and animals. This tropical destination also features a coral reef, and it's your mission to restore it to its former glory and breathe new marine life into it.

Of course, that's not all you can do in this farming sim game as you'll also be able to socialize and get to know the locals. There are over 50 islanders to meet, each with their own stories to tell. You can even find that special someone from among the 16 singles in town, allowing you to form a relationship and build a life together at your farm.

What's more, you can do other activities, such as exploring forgotten caverns for hidden gemstones and participating in community projects to help revitalize the town. It also boasts a character customization system that allows you to:

• Select a body type.
• Pick a hairstyle.
• Change the color of your character’s eyes, among others.
• Adjust a hair color’s tone, saturation, and brightness.
• Choose your preferred clothing color.
• Select or add your own honorific.
• Provide a name for your character and farm. 

Welcoming the new season with a bang

With the recent launch of Coral Island’s spring update, you’ll get to: 

• Participate in the tree planting festival every 21st day of the spring season.
• See the characters dressed in swimming attire.
• Venture into the Wind Gate to obtain ores and gems.
• Visit the giant's village.
• Talk and establish a good working relationship with the giants.

While this is not an exhaustive list of new content, Stairway Games has also introduced a plethora of quality-of-life changes, and here are a few examples:

• The addition of a dyslexic font and a color blindness filter.
• The option to resize text and rebind control mappings.

Although the game has improved a lot, a periodic auto-save system still has not been added. It should be implemented to prevent players from losing their progress.

Merfolk & Fall

Coral Island's highly anticipated Merfolk & Fall update has finally arrived, and it's a game-changer in every sense. This comprehensive update brings a plethora of new features and enhancements, making the game more captivating than ever before. From a continuation of the story quest to the introduction of innovative items like the Sturdy Computer and Shed, players have a wealth of new content to explore. 

Interactions with NPCs have been enriched, with heart level 8 dialogues for all characters and stylish new outfits for dateable NPCs and townies during the Fall Season. The addition of Spooky Festivals adds a seasonal flair with exciting mini-games and events. However, the crown jewel of this update is the Merfolk Kingdom, offering a deep and immersive expansion to the Merfolk storyline, underwater exploration, and diving to various depths. 

On top of all this, the automation system, featuring Auto Ranching Equipment and Auto Chests, streamlines farm management. With new weapon sets, Slice of Life Cutscenes, Founder Statues, adoptable pets, and fascinating ocean critters, the Merfolk & Fall update is a must-play for Coral Island fans. It elevates the game to new heights, providing an abundance of content to keep players enthralled.

Start anew on an island

There's something about farming sim games that make them such quaint and charming titles that any gamer can enjoy. Coral Island is no different in that regard. From dating singles to exploring unknown locations, this is an addictive game you'll have fun playing for days on end. While it doesn't do anything revolutionary, it takes the best parts of the genre and refines them further to provide a polished and beautiful experience.
